Marianne Graffam

AIA, NCIDQ, LEED AP BD+C, CHID, EDAC, ACHA
Senior Associate | Director of Health & Wellness

Marianne joined EskewDumezRipple as an Associate, with a focus on healthcare, to augment and grow the firm's vision and body of work in the realm of health and wellness. Originally born in Seoul, South Korea, Marianne grew up in Ocala, Florida. After attending Tulane University School of Architecture and spending parts of her career in Seattle and Tacoma, Washington, and Honolulu, Hawaii, Marianne found a passion for working closely with healthcare stake holders to create spaces that can aid users in providing the best possible care. She has achieved her certification as a Healthcare Architect through the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA), Healthcare Interior Designer (CHID) and her Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC).

She is a proud supporter of that idea that architecture and design should apply the scientific process to address design problems and question hypotheses to achieve outcomes that are aesthetically pleasing and functionally beautiful. In the community, Marianne is active with the nonprofit unCommon Construction and engaged with the AIA at the local and State levels. Since 2009, she has also served as a city organizer for PechaKucha Nights in Tacoma and New Orleans with over 30 successful events.
