A local to Louisiana, Charles studied at Tulane University where he earned his Masters in Architecture. As a student, he also studied abroad at the National University of Singapore where he honed his interests in globalization, Southeast Asian urbanism, and their effects on the architectural landscape in a tropical climate. After earning his graduate degree, he started his professional career at in New Orleans at Trahan Architects, where he participated in numerous notable projects including the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Superdome Renovation, and the Chapel of St. Ignatius at Loyola University.
Charles's outlook on architecture focuses on the careful integration of materiality, light, and form. His process is grounded in a deep respect for artistry and craft, which are both essential in elevating how we experience space.
Outside of the office Charles can be found painting, sculpting, skating in the park, or strolling around Bayou St. John.
