Through an intensive planning and programming process in collaboration with Coleman Partners, brightspot strategy, and Perkins+Will, EskewDumezRipple helped craft a master vision for a library that reflects LSU’s status as a top-tier research institution and its aspirations for the future.

Now in the design phase, the Library will serve as a vibrant academic crossroads—seamlessly linking LSU’s historic and emerging campuses while supporting the full intellectual journey of its 36,000 students.

Anchored by a high-density Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS), the design maximizes space for 21st-century learning—offering thousands of new study seats, dynamic group areas, creative tech studios, and integrated student success services. Following the success of the initial planning phase, the same team of partners continues to lead the project’s design. This continuity ensures that the ambitious goals, values, and insights shaped during visioning carry forward into a cohesive, future-focused building.
