Zach Chance
RA
Project Architect
Prior to arriving at EskewDumezRipple, Zach Chance spent 10 years in Los Angeles, California. There, he worked for Marmol Radziner where he contributed to several mid-century restoration projects in both Los Angeles and San Francisco, and a collection of contemporary homes in Maui and Kauai. After moving on to XTEN and project-managing homes in the Hollywood Hills, Zach spent his last five years in LA working as a lead designer for two new terminals at LAX where the complexities of opening in advance of the 2028 Olympics, phasing, and multiple client and shareholder input came into play all at once.
For Zach, the most important aspect of architecture is designing buildings that respect their environment. This includes creating buildings that are passive in energy by simultaneously respecting the local climate and utilizing innovative materials.
As no stranger to the Gulf Coast, Zach enjoys all things water – diving, sailing, surfing, and fishing. He also enjoys running, cooking, and building furniture. His weekends in New Orleans are spent exploring the city on foot, keeping his oversized Labrador out of trouble, and appreciating all the food and music the city has to offer.
